Catching Up with My Gratitude Jar

Holy cow, it’s already February! Where did the beginning of 2018 go? Time has flown by and I’ve realized I haven’t written my yearly piece about my gratitude jar. I started keeping a gratitude jar in 2016 and wrote about why on BetterAfter50.com.

I’m way overdue for reading through last year’s slips and starting anew. My favorite part of keeping this jar is now—the time I spend revisiting the previous year.

To be honest, in 2017 I didn’t do the best job at keeping up with my jar. I had plenty to be grateful for; last year was good to me. Life was GOOD. I spent time on trips, with family, writing, and making new friends. The year was full and left little time for daily reflections. But, there were still slips to read through and so let’s have a peek at a trio of grateful moments from 2017:

Reading through 2017 entries makes me want to do a better job of keeping up in 2018. To accomplish that, I’ve prepped my jar and supplies and placed them within easy reach of my desk.

Cheers to another year of grateful living!
